About Our Senior Living Community

If you're looking into senior care options for yourself or a loved one, you have likely accepted the fact that a major lifestyle change may be necessary. Nonetheless, transistioning into a senior living community or assisted living facility can still feel rather intimidating. It makes sense to have concerns about how exactly things will work at a new residence. It is the hope of our senior caregivers that the information below can help to clarify certain things and put your mind at ease. If you have questions that are not addressed in this FAQ, please do not hesitate to give us a call and inquire.

Q: How is an assisted living facility different than a nursing home?

A: Nursing homes typically provide round-the-clock healthcare for patients who are sick whereas assisted living promotes independence and freedom in a communal setting where support is available when necessary.

Q: What types of services are provided at your senior living community?

A: We approach each resident differently based on their particular needs and how those needs shift over time. For some, our services essentially consist of oversight and guidance, while others require active assistance with their daily activities.

Q: Do you offer organized social activities?

A: Our social living community prioritizes keeping residents engaged with each other. We offer a selection of activities, from exercise classes to musical performances to men's and women's clubs. so that individuals may decide how they wish to spend each day.

Q: Is a long-term contract required?

A: Most facilities do not require leases or any type of extended commitment. You should, however, be prepared to pay a move-in deposit and provide written notice 30 days prior to move-out.

Q: Are there meal times and how does dining work?

A: Residents are served three meals a day and dine in a restaurant-like setting where they can order something to fit their taste from a menu consisting of both regular staples and select daily entree features.

Q: Can residents bring in their own furniture and decorations to personalize their spaces?

A: Yes, we encourage residents to treat their new environment like a home and make themselves comfortable. We can even provide you with a detailed floor plan ahead of time upon request.

Q: What are your visiting hours and related regulations?

A: Our community welcomes visitors. Feel free to have loved ones join you for meals, stay overnight, and more. We simply ask for consideration for our other residents, i.e. respecting the privacy of others, reasonable noise levels in the evening, etc.

Q: Are pets allowed?

A: If you are capable of caring for your pet on your own, or hiring someone to handle these tasks, we will be happy to treat your pet like part of the family. Simply check that they meet our height/weight restrictions and other policies.
